I think the first thing you need to do is to sit down with your parents and apologise to them for having lied to them in the past. Tell them you realise that was unwise of you, but that you were afraid of them being hurt, or of their reaction to things, and you were partly motivated by trying to protect them. The next thing you need to do is to tell them you are seeing this man who is after all only ten years older than you. It is better, I think, than if you were 28 and dating an 18 year old boy. Let your parents see that you acknowledge any concerns they may have. Don't get upset with them, and if they get upset about your relationship, keep repeating that you understand but that he's really very nice and you are sure they will like him. It's the person who matters, not the age. I am in my early 40s now - my partner is almost 18 months younger than me, but when I was single I was quite prepared to date men up to 15 or even 20 years older than me, depending on the person. Let your parents see that this man treats you well and hopefully their concerns will be allayed.

Holy ****, a 14 12 months previous dating a 19 12 months previous... don't be upset by your mum and dad they're in basic terms attempting to maintain you risk-free from him using you. some issues you may comprehend: in case you infrequently see him how do you already know his suited character? do no longer hotel to drugs, eating or smoking! It sounds like your youthful than 14 yet you may no longer consistently tell by writing. yet another ingredient is that boys hate secrets and methods being saved from them. If he grow to be fairly in love with you and worrying he might definitely be waiting to handle the fact, he's nineteen greater desirable than able to coping with it. My suggestion may well be speaking with your sister and your mum and dad approximately this and the type you experience approximately what they're doing. wish this helps, solid success with this :) and tell me the way it is going.

You are young and naive. I know you don't feel that way now...but wait until your 28 and look at the 18 year olds around you and you'll realize it's true. Men that date much younger GIRLS do so because they are lacking qualities that women their age expect from them. Beware.

just tell them cos face it... you're not gonna be able to hide it for much longer. maybe they won't like the idea at first, but they'll soon get used to it. let them meet him (and tell him to be on his best behavior) and you never know... maybe they'll like him. If not, then at least they're seen him so it will put their minds at rest as to what kind of person their daughter is dating! good luck!
