Okay I did the same thing abit ago and I hated it but I made myself stick to a certain routine I would was my hair every 2 days I reccomend Sunsilk care and repair shampoo and conditioner is aimed at people who straighten their hair non-stop and adds moisture back into hte hair, also get your hair trimmed regurly if you are going to straighten your hair I would say about every 6-8 weeks, I have anohter good tip MAYONAISE on your head sounds vile but really adds moisture to them dried out treeses put it on all over your hair for about 30 minutes and then wash with sunsilk shampoo, do this once a week also deep condition once every week too, If you blow dry your hair STOP let it fry naturally becasue this harms hair too and I would rather straighten my hair than blow dry it!!! Put your hair straightener on a lower setting this is frying your hair! use a protection spray before straightening it! Hope all of my tips helps babe xxx

usually if your hair smell burnt it is likely is.I recommend that you get a "heat protector" product at a beauty supply store, lots and lots are available but not all are good though.Lower your settings on the flat iron start with low first and go up until you find the desired balance for your hair to get straight, try not to set it at 450 degrees.Flat iron your hair dry,and do not hold it to long in your hair especially toward the ends where it tends to burn ,it is best to go over the hair again than holding the flat iron too long over the same strand.Burning the hair is bad but burning your scalp is worst as in some instances hair will not grow back on badly burnt scalp.I hope that i have provided answers for your question

Two things:

1- STOP USING IT! **I have used a Straightener to the point where if I tug on my hair- it falls out- YUCK!

2- Use a Flat Iron Thermal Protection Spary... Not that this will help too much... I think you should do what I did and use a Curling Iron by Conair (less heat) and ONLY Straighten the parts that are Super Kinky!

Another Option is to get a Chemical Straightener (reverse perm) and that should do it until your natural hair grows out!

You should use straightening cream/sprays on your hair before use of the straightener, that will help protect your hair.
What I would say as well is not to use the hair straighteners everyday. No matter what, your hair will get damaged but the creams and sprays will help minimize the damage.

in case you advise the straightening irons, sure, they do injury hair. The enforce itself isn't the undertaking, however the human beings who use them. maximum don't be responsive to the thank you to apply them properly, and overheat their hair, or do it while the hair isn't thoroughly dry. there are many straighteners that do not burn your hair you should not put it on the highest degree you should put it in between and see if it burns if that doesn't work then don't go over one hair piece three times to get it perfectly straightened when your using a straightener you should always know that you will burn your hair

It's too hot! The burn smell is coming from your burning hair cuticles!! You're killing them!! Dry your hair COMPLETELY before ironing. Secondly, lower the heat, and iron them by taking segments of your hair (in small sections) so that you can get thru to each layer of your thick hair.

Firstly it is too hot secondly you are holding it on your hair for too long and thirdly you need use a protective spray especially designed for straighters there are many different types available in the supermarket. i'd also try not use the straightners as much i only ever use mine when i have to i would never use them for everyday use as they permanently damage your hair.

Maybe turning down the heat a little and using a serum as you straighten might help.
