It isn't what we think it is what do you think....what excites you about the breed. Do you like the lanky look do you love the bay of a hound when they bark? Do you think you would like the type of dog and exercises the dog will need? When you see a blue tick to you associate your self as that is "my breed of dog" if it is then that is the one to get if you are looking to get one. But for me it is Labrador Retrievers and Australian Shepard.

They are very intelligent dogs, but very high energy. If you are thinking about getting one, it would be best if you have a fenced in yard for him or are willing to take him for a run every day. If the dog doesn't get enough exercise for his breed, he may use that energy in destructive ways around the house. Generally speaking, they are good at letting children play with them, but watch for their tendency to jump which might knock over a child.

I had one good dogs but need lots and lots of room to run!
