LOL! It may seem that way to you, but in truth all they do is ramp up the caffein level as high as is possible. The brewing process of their coffees help it taste better than home made as well. They use filtered water, its brewed at a high temp which gives the coffee grounds maximum saturation while yielding as much of the coffee flavour possible. Not sure if you're a fan of cream or not, but if you get cream in your coffee at Tim's, it gives the coffee a much richer flavour than using milk at home would. Another thing they do (supposed to do) is only allow each pot of coffee a 20 minute shelf life. After 20 minutes of heat, they maintain that any longer than that and the coffee is just burnt, so they brew a fresh pot.Very few people who make coffee at home would do that, most coffee lovers would have the pot warming the whole day, so that by the end of the pot, that last cup is going to be pretty wicked and bitter.

I suspect so too. If I forget to pop the top open first thing on my way to work while letting it cool, that first half-dozen sips taste like plastic...but I still drink it. One thing I know too, it is NEVER weak.

Don't you hate that roll-up-the-rim thing? I've split layers into my thumbnail again.

They put something in it because it is addictive and is not great tasting coffee.
