What sorts of issues affect the elderly?

Just general (ie. social isolation, healthcare), but specifically things that are affected by social policy.

For one issue, you can start with the high price of health care and medication versus insurance coverage or prescription assistance. Then you have elderly care facilities where abuse thrives. Home care for the elderly who cannot afford the care and are isolated at home by family and left to care for themselves. A book could be written and maybe has been in order to list all of the things that could be listed under this topic.

Transportation is a big one. It steals their independance when they need to rely on others to get to doctors visit, stores, ect.
Having doctors over prescibing medicines. Communication barriers may develop ie hearing loss. Anxiety and depression,
from aging itself to the unknowns and problems dealing with chronic conditions. Yes books could (are) be written on the subject.

if we legalize euthanasia, we put pressure on elderly(and terminally ill) to be euthanised
