I have the free 7.1 avg virus scan--it was installed by someone else--so now it says I have to upgrade. If I do that will everything stay the same the way they set it up or do I have to uninstall it and reinstall it? Today I got a notice saying the resident shield and internal virus database were no longer working and were lit up red. I know nothing about how to upgrade.! Can I just upgrade and have the setup on my computer remain? Thx

Download the upgrade by going here:

http://free.grisoft.com/

Click the link that says "Click here to upgrade now!"

and follow the instructions on that page to download the upgrade file and install. Your AVG software will be upgraded from 7.1 to 7.5.

Go to http://free.grisoft.com and download AVG 7.5. If you are upgrading, just make sure that when you run the install you select to Repair the installation.
