he taught me that family is everything. he tried to tell me how to live but i didn't take his advice. i did alright anyway and he still loves me. go figure. god i was rotten.i learned a lot from him. mostly by watching him. i have to agree also with the line from anne sexton. truer words were never spoken.

My father died a lonely man, who had eight kids from two different marriages, the last four of which were put up for adoption and went to four different families, at the ripe old age of 64 from a failed liver. My father had not only given me love and guidence, but the thing I most remember from him is that he told me to take any chance in life to gain experience. This has been most helpful for me throughout my life so far. If I had any chance to learn how to do something, I have always said yes. Hi, well my father was never around for his children because he never cared for them but this is what he taught me. Never give up on your children and always be there for them no matter what, never take the love of your life over your children, never give up on anything you do in life and the most important thing that he taught me is that money doesn't but love.

Never to drink on my own (he was a raving alcoholic)
Always to put the family first (he had numerous affairs).
He also taught me the meaning of rejection. In fact, he taught me never ever to follow any of his examples and to reject life lifestyle completely.
