i adopted out my son when he was 2 hes now 21 will he still have the same NI number he would of had.

yes, your national insurance number stays with you all your life. I'm assuming that you are trying to trace your son and perhaps his name has changed. I'd ask The Salvation Army for advice as they offer a trace- service which is hugely successful and they are often a good intermediary between families who have been apart for a long time.
