This only hastens the second coming of Christ who will come and gather HIS people together and put all the ones who rejected HIM into 'everlasting destruction'.
We only fight for rights as given to others in order that we may have more time to share the TRUTH with a doomed world.

How are Atheists stealing Christians rights to freedom of religion?
And don't you think it's strange that you would want a world war with sea otters? I mean, really what does that have to do with religion.

What are you talking about? Exactly what 'rights' have we (they) stolen? You still go to church and brainwash your unsuspecting youth into believing they're worthless scum of the earth except for their creator (who, BTW, created Hell for some-can you feel the love?). Ya know, the guy who contradicts himself in philosophy and Biblical scripture...
*****
I just read somebody's bit about 'prayer in schools'...actually, they're allowed to do it on their own time-it was made unlawful to have the school sponsor it-freedom of religion-it's the Christians who are trying to take it away from everyone else!
BTW, what do sea otters have to do with anything? They are cute and I have no desire to wage war on them. Or, most animals.

Here in the United States Christians rule the roost. There isn't a single avowed atheist in the House, Senate or Supreme Court. Oh yeah, they let a few Jews in like Joe Lieberman who agree with them on everything, and one Muslim from Michigan snuck in the first time this year. But there are no Atheists, Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists in any major position of power in the United States.
I can't buy a bottle of wine for my dinner guests on Sunday until after 1PM because the Baptists are afraid someone might be drinking liquor instead of attending church. We have a church on every street corner, often several on a block. Moslems opened a center in Texas and their good Christian neighbors began running Friday night pig races on the property line. This week the 14 year excellent record town manager of a Florida town was fired because he announced he was preparing for gender reassignment surgery. The Baptist minister who led the charge to have him fired spoke to the council and assured them Jesus wanted the man fired.
This phony, "I'm a victim, I'm a victim" crap rings hollow coming from the people in charge, and Christians are in charge, and if things suck it's their fault! And it wasn't atheists that bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City or flew planes into the WTC. That was god believers, same as was the guy who bombed the Olympics and abortion clinics in Atlanta and Alabama while good Christians hid him from the police, same as the guys who dragged a gay kid to death behind their pickup truck, same as the Klansmen that bombed black churches in the south. And it's not an atheist diocese in California declaring bankruptcy because all of their priests are pedophiles and they're being sued when in years past the Church and the authorities colluded to cover these crimes up.
It's not enough that Christians run everything and presidential candidates have to grovel before them and abandon their principles and embrace homophobia and patriarchy to suit their fundie Christian masters, but when anyone breaks wind without shouting "Praise the Lord" some nut-cake Christian extremist somewhere will shoot at them or bomb their office. The issue raised in this question isn't that Atheists, Moslems, Hindus or whomever are stealing Christian rights. The issue is that unchallenged fundamentalist Christian theocratic domination, and the power gained in the Reagan years, is being challenged by those who recognize fundamentalism as a compassionless fraud. The problem isn't that fundamentalist Christians cannot practice their faith, because neither I nor any other Atheist cares if they believe in Tooth Faeries. The issue is that fundies can't impose their culture on the whole of society in every corner of society, shut me up, make me go away, make everyone just like them, look like them, talk like them, believe like them, have sex the way they do, when they do, if they ever do.
And even more than they hate me as an atheist, fundies hate other Christians who think fundies are extremists even more, as Tim La Haye demonstrated after meeting with candidate Jimmy Carter, the most Christian president of the last century, when La Haye walked out and said, "Whatever we do, we have to get rid of this guy."
Every bully whines he's being bullied when his bullying is brought into the light. Somehow I don't hear Jesus's words coming out of this question or the hundreds like it. All I hear is cultural chauvinism masquerading as sprituality.
