If the "gubmint" takes a child from his/her parents because of a food intake issue, then it won't be long before your child is taken away from you if they drink what the "Gubmint" decides is too much soda, or energy drinks, or smokes, or wears the wrong clothes, or has the wrong haircut/hair style.......
That's waaaaay too scary....

I don't believe he should be taken away, however, the family all need some education and intervention in nutrition and everyday life skills. I feel that there are a lot of underlying issues within this family.

i dont think he should be takenn away. I think that could cause some serious emotional trauma and cause him to eat more. I think someone maybe from social services needs to make sure that a nutritionist is hired to come teach the child AND THE MOM about more nutritious meals.

If she doesn't start at giving him healthier food yes she does need him taken away or she needs to be monitored but do so many parents in the UK and the US. And possibly even the whole world on this issue:)

no- that would only drive him to depression and food. The situation should be handled definetly, but delicately and with expert help.

Its neglect.

I dont think he should be removed, but I think the court should intervene and put him in a program, and get her into some parenting and health classes.

All of them look fat, and iam sure they could all benefit from some health education.

how much junk food is he eating? at age 8, he is 5 feet tall, thats pretty tall for an eight year old... he may have a hormone issue.... they need to educate her on his nutrition ....
