I know how the sites get their rake. When I go to Vegas, how will house get its take at a cash game and also in a tournament.

I notice that in tournaments there is money put in for the pot, plus the entry fee. Then they quote a percentage paid out. Is the percentage a percentage of the pot money or is it a percentage of the pot plus the fees too?

In a cash game the house gets it's money the same way the online rooms get theirs. They take a small amount from the pot each hand. In the casino I play at the max is $5.00 at the smaller tables.
In tournies they get their money from the seat fees.
i.e. $200 + $50 (they get the 50)

Usually in a tournament, the entry fee is the houses take (but they do expect you to tip the dealers)...in a cash game they take a small percentage of the pot on each hand

in a cash game, the house takes a small amount of money from each pot when it reaches a certain size.the casino will tell you if u ask, this is called the rake. In a tournament, the extra fee is the house cut,say $500 +$50, the $50 is the house part, called the juice. The payout % is of all entries not counting the juice
