The output of this big engine is silly (231 HP). How can I increase it?

There are lots of aftermarket parts for this engine.
Start with a low restriction air intake system. About $200.00
Add a cat back performance exhaust system. About $300.00
Add a programable chip. About $200.00
So for about $700.00 you can bump up the HP by 30-35%. That would make your 231 HP come up to beyond 300.

that engine also makes 305 lbs of torque...very nice!
it moves great.
a 4x4 grand cherokee v8 is about the best suv in the world.
its a real suv that can actually go off-road.
