I can, and its OK that they filling of enlightenment has passed. It is also very normal for this to have happened. Once you have entered into that stage of belief you begin to get challenged by satan. You will start questioning God and that is also normal. You must remember that feeling and stay true to what you know is reality. You have experienced the presence of the HS and the HS is still in you and guiding you today or you wouldn't be changing and evolving as a Christian. Remember that Christianity is much hard than life without God. When you are a Christian you are a direct threat to the devil. When you are not- you are on his side. He doesn't need to mess with you because he already has you.
When you have doubts try to remember to take it as a compliment, when you are in trials in life remember that you are on the right track. If you weren't a threat to satan he would leave you alone and life would be perfect. You personally have an impact on the Kingdom of God and satan hates that. He wants you to be weakened. You are better than that. keep asking these questions and praying and reading the Bible and you will mature as a Christian and can someday help others with the problems you are facing now. It is so awesome that you are serving God.
Bless you!

Here’s what I think based on my experience.
If you are experiencing peace of mind the Spirit is with you. I think that early feeling of profound love is more or less a cleansing of the mind. But so long as you feel peace and comfort, you are on the right track.
The Spiritual highs for me still come when I have been praying about a question and I get the answer, which is accompanied by that amazing feeling.
This inner peace truly does help when you are working with people in difficult situations. I used to get very emotional when I heard about tragedy, but the peace that comes from the Spirit makes it possible to focus on their situation instead of my emotions, if that makes sense.

I think that we go through ebbings and flowing in our christian walk. We should never turn away from the Lord, but there will be times where we will slow up a bit. Just as long as we stay connected and allow fellowship and the word to fill the gaps where our flesh may be weary. Also brother, the HS is always with us no matter, we cannot turn him on and off, but now we can underutilize him. It seems to me that the HS has been working in your life as you have grown even more stronger towards the Lord and want to serve in His name.
Lots of Love,
Miri

First of all "there is no respect of persons with God" (Acts 10:34; Romans 2:11; Ephesians 6:9, Colossians 3:25; James 2:1,9; 1Peter 1:17). None at all! Nor is there any partiality with the Son of God; which even the Herodians perceived about the true Master (Matthew 22:6). So if anyone is saved(graced), then everyone is saved(graced). And we know that God our Saviour will have all men saved(graced) "and" also have all men aware what they're saved(delivered) from: law(worketh wrath: death).
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons6.htm
Our Father, deliver us from "evil": Mt 6:13
We are delivered from the "law": Rom 7:6
http://www.godshew.org/BiblicalDots.htm
So it's not the salvation of some, but the awareness of all.
As for loving "Jesus", the Bible PLAINLY states:
Peace with God is "through Jesus -> Christ".
Eternal salvation is "through Jesus -> Christ".
http://www.godshew.org/through.htm
"Jesus": "made under the law": Galatians 4:4
"Christ": "the end of the law": Romans 10:4
"Ye are not under the law, but under grace"!
(ye are not under Jesus, but under Christ)
Such is notably written in both Gal and Rom.
http://www.godshew.org/ChristJesus.htm
We are not the body of Jesus(Law).
We are the body of Christ(Grace).
Which things are an "allegory": Galatians 4.
http://www.godshew.org/Allegory.htm
"Jesus": "division" and not peace: Mt 10:34; Lk 12:51
"Christ": "peace" and not dividead: Jn 14:27; Eph 2:14,15
Mark and AVOID them which cause divisions: Rom 16:17
Conversion is from law to grace.
Conversion is from Jesus to Christ.
Which is as from sacrifice to mercy.
Which is allegorically from death to life.
http://www.godshew.org/GodShew4.htm
As for 'serving', you may wanna note:
- "above a servant" is neither of two servants
http://www.godshew.org/AboveAServant.htm
- "be nor more children" is neither of two children
http://www.godshew.org/GodShew.htm#nomorechildren
- "us-ward" is neither of two "them"s in Hebrews 10:39
http://www.godshew.org/Usward.htm
Law is "good", but "both good and evil".
His Grace is good, but never evil(law).
Discern(Avoid) both good and evil: Heb 5.
For "good and evil" notably ends with "evil".
Seven spirits more wicked is a "worse" case scenario.
http://www.godshew.org/Revelations9.htm
http://www.godshew.org/Allegory3.htm
Either make the tree good (grace) OR corrupt (law).
Both good + evil is an oxyMORON with a BAD ending.
The end already written has no such oxymoronic ending.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

It is realy awesome that you found God. I also believe that you are not saved 6 years ago, but 2000 years ago and you've only accepted His gift 6 years ago. Does that make sence
?You have to surrender to God every day of your life. experiencing the Holy Spirit is different to everyone, but to me it is like talking to an imagenary friend all the time. I often find myself talking out loud. The good news is, He is not imaginery. He is even more real than you and me. He answers my every question. Some of them are yes, some no and some wait. I think the wait ones are hard to chew, but that is what makes you stronger. Welcome to the familly brother, for we are all princes and princesses. Soon we are going to see our Father and our inheritance. God bless!!!

It has been 27 years since I became a Christian.
In the beginning I was full of fire.
Very emotional and very aggressive.
Very Churchy.
I have since cooled down.
My thoughts seem to be calmer now.
Less reactive.
More in control.
I don't know if I could term the situation weaker.
Perhaps more mature.
Believe me when I say space shot, I was.
Jesus is Lord.

Your feelings remain as strong, don't worry ^_^ it's not like anyone get a ''crush'' on Jesus, once this love touches you it stays with you for your whole life. but the 'Christians only' thing doesn't seem very Christian to me : Jesus let everyone come to him, religious or not.

Sometimes God will remove his consolations and when evey he desires he will restore it. You have to be patient and wait upon the Lord. But try and reamain the same, do good to others and PRAY.
I will suggest a very powerful and effective devotion for people who want to grow in the Spirit: THE HOLY ROSARY

See if you can find an outlet to use your charismatic gifts and practice charismatic(spirit filled) worship like an echuemenical prayer group or a place like an International House of Prayer.
These kind of groups don't require you to change your church affiliation and still grow in the spirit and the use of spiritual gifts.
