You're talking about COROFRAMS. These are Black Hi-Gloss shoes which require minimal attention.

If you're asking about the brand:

The most likely brand is Bates. That's what I wore.

The kind of shoes that you are issued depend on the activity you have to perform. If you're special forces you will be issued something different than the Honor Guard at Tomb of the unknown soldier.

Clorafram is the correct spelling. And they are not issued normally. The shoes issued are regular leather shoes that you have to polish. Clorafram's can be bought on your own so you don't have to worry about the polishing anymore, just the scuffs you get instread.

Corfam is the name of the shoes, referring to the shiny plastic which resembles highly polished leather. The good thing about them is that they don't need shining, just wiping off. The bad thing, because it's not regular leather, when you are standing on hot pavement during the summer, your feet get VERY hot wearing them.

Which kinds? You mean like corcorans? Low quarters? Or boots, like combat boots, jump boots, jungle boots, etc?

Coroframs are "cheater" low quarters...the government doesn't issue them. They look like plastic low quarters. Low quarters look amazing when polished.
