Well you don't really "hear" it. However I did experience something like that which encouraged me to come here to fight for the faith. I wanted to play footy and watch American Idol but had this odd feeling that something else was much more important. I was attracted to Yahoo Answers for some reason and I feel really addicted all of a sudden to defending God and my religion. I guess it's a miracle considering it's an odd feeling that you never experience.

PS I just experienced it yesterday and am a newbie here.

Following up on your statement, "The truth is relative."
That is one of the dumest things I have heard in a long time!
For instance:
1. are you saying that 2+2=4 is relative? No. If is a fact, a truth.
Likewise 2+2=/=4 is false, incorrect, a lie.

2. John shot his wife in the face, on purpose, because he didn't like her. Fact: John murdered his wife.

Now, there is truth, however the application of that truth may be dependant on a culture.
example: It is wrong to steal.
In the US, if it is on your property & someone takes it=stealing.
In Africa if it is on your property, but in the front yard & someone takes it=it is public property & therefore =/=stealing.

Does the voice sound like James Mason?

No? Then it's not God. God sounds exactly like James Mason - just ask Eddie Izzard.

if you're a Christian and you have prayed and asked God to reveal his will or whatever you need to know; studied His Word, looking up and seeking out scriptures dealing with whatever your situation is; and asked for advice and prayers from other Christians, and ALLL that is telling you the same thing over and over.. then YEAH its God.

However, if you're not a Christian and the "voices" are telling you something other than "hey, you!! accept me as your Lord and Savior" then you should check in to a nut house.

either way, i'll be praying for you!!

GOD BLESS YOU

1Jo 4:1 ¶ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1Jo 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

One will know when God speaks to them by his holy spirit. When the spirit speaks to you one will know cause the spirit normally speaks more than once and indeed this is not in your head and being that spirit of the lord is in you -----one cannot help but know.

If you are seriously hearing audible voices, you need to tell your doctor and let him tell you why.
