To the extent that you can still function and deal with others but no further.

We should accept completely that the reality with which we are presented is, in fact, reality. To do otherwise is self-delusion.

However, we should not accept that it HAS to be so. Most reality can be changed.

Interesting philosophical point, but hardly a practical one.

For instance, one could question whether it is reasonable to assume anything about the world we are in - for example, whether a kettle will boil water rather than cool it. However, it's not exactly practical. The kettle obviously boils water, or it would be a Rubbish Kettle. In this case I would long have had a nice cup of tea and a sit down while you are still freaking out in the corner of the kitchen.

Tto the extent at which it is acceptable to you and your knowledge! Asking questions is the only way to clarify doubts in any ones mind and reach a conclusion that you can live with, until again you are confronted with something that antagonizes your first beliefs! this way a number of misconceptions can be dealt with in a logical manner. It is okay to doubt yourself and your beliefs, as this is the only way to test their integrity, Otherwise if we accept everything at face value we would never develop mentally or spiritually.

We should always question what seems obvious. Reality is often subjective anyway, so questioning it is the only way to get anywhere in life.

But this does not mean that you or anyone else will get answers. :) And you should always question the answers you do get. It's a viscious cycle. Taking things at face value is much easier.

You seen 'The Truman show'?. You should never accept the reality with which we are presented. Make your own reality, then and only then should you accept it.

By the extent of:
You know only what you know.

We tend to believe stereotypes and dogma's about our world and do not rely on what we really know as fact.

This gets us into trouble, we read into things and pass premature judment on the world and people.

Would this question be best answered by a Quantum Theorist who lives by theory instead of facts?

Surely he would tell you that all you see is an illusion including time itself.

The reality we are presented is of our own making. And whether we accept it or not, is our choice.
