so far, i've thoughtt of doing a raffle whereby the winner gets his/her lunch prepared for a week. Obviously getting people to bake something and people pay a sum per cake etc. However, I want to think outside the box, any ideas?????

you know what would be kinda neat would be a sort of lunch-swap auction. it would only really work though if most people bring lunch. You could bring in some really awesome lunches, and have people bid to trade lunch with you. the highest bidder gets it that day.

Get everybody to bring in a packed item then send it off to a charity who then send them to the places who need the food. Obviously it would have to be something they could eat without needing an oven or microwave but not fresh so it doesn't go off. Packets of biscuits etc.
Why not do a cake tasting quiz, get a few people on a panel and get a few different cakes but made with a difference, like a curry cake, and a mint cake, carrott cake and the like then they have to guess what the special ingredient is.
