Try the following

Chocolate Marbled Energy Bars
5 oz (150 g) dark chocolate (75% cocoa solids), broken into small pieces
5 oz (150 g) luxury Belgian white chocolate, broken into small pieces
1 x 100 g pack pecan nuts
4 oz (110 g) ready-to-eat dried apricots
5 oz (150 g) organic porridge oats
1 oz (25 g) Rice Krispies
1 oz (25 g) Bran Flakes, lightly crushed
3 oz (75 g) raisins
1 teaspoon molasses syrup
5fl oz (150 ml) whole condensed milk

Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4, 350°F (180°C).
Begin by toasting the pecan nuts on a baking sheet on the top shelf of the oven for 7 minutes, using a timer, then chop them roughly. Next chop the apricots to the same size as the pecans, and then in a large bowl mix together the oats, Rice Krispies, Bran Flakes, apricots, pecans and raisins. Now, in a small saucepan, heat the molasses syrup and condensed milk until they're warm and thoroughly blended, then pour this mixture into the bowl. Mix it all well with a wooden spoon, then simply tip the mixture into the baking tin, press it down evenly all over and bake in the centre of the oven for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown. After that leave it to get quite cold.

Meanwhile, melt the white and dark chocolate separately in heatproof bowls set over pans of barely simmering water, making sure the bowls don't touch the water. When the cereal mixture has cooled, loosen the edges with a palette knife and turn it out upside down on to a board. Now, using a tablespoon, put spoonfuls of the plain chocolate all over the top of the cereal cake, leaving space in between. Then do the same with the white chocolate, but this time fill up the gaps. Next take a small palette knife and, using a zigzag motion, swirl the two chocolates together to give a marbled effect. Then lift the board and gently tap it down on to the work surface to create a smooth finish. What you need to do now is chill it in the fridge for about 1 hour, then use a sharp knife to cut it into 16 bars.

The following are on with Special K and one with Shredded Wheat.

Add raisins, currants, dried cranberries or cherries, or dried fruit bits to this chewy bar recipe for added nutrition and flavor. One thing I like to do is melt a 12 oz. pkg. of semisweet chocolate chips with 1/3 cup peanut butter and spread over the top for a wonderful rich frosting.
INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2 cups corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups peanut butter
6 cups crisp cereal (I use Special K)
PREPARATION:
In large microwave safe bowl, combine corn syrup, brown sugar and sugar and mix well. Microwave on HIGH for 4-7 minutes until bubbling, stirring twice during cooking cycle. Remove from microwave and add peanut butter.
Stir until peanut butter melts and mixture is smooth. Add cereal and stir gently but thoroughly until cereal is coated. Spread mixture into greased 13x9" pan. Using back of spoon, press mixture evenly into pan. Let cool and cut into bars.

18 servings
1/4 c Margarine 2 c Crumbled shredded wheat bis.
1/3 c Brown sugar, packed 1/2 c Chopped walnuts
1 lg Egg 1 c Raisins

To prepare in a conventional oven, preheat oven to 375 F. Cream
together margarine and brown sugar. Beat in egg and add the rest of ingredients. Pat mixture into bottom of an 8 inch square pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the top is browned. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into 18 bars.

Cranberry Trail Bars

INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1/3 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup chopped almonds
1/3 cup unsweetened flaked coconut
3 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup dried cranberries
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
7 cups miniature marshmallows

DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet over medium heat, stir together the sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pecans and almonds. Cook until the sesame seeds are starting to turn golden, about 3 minutes. Add coconut, and stir until sesame seeds are golden. Watch carefully, as they burn easily. Stir in the cranberries and cereal, and remove from heat.
In a large saucepan, combine the peanut butter, butter and marshmallows. Cook and stir over low heat until marshmallows are melted. Pour in the cereal and nut mixture, and stir until evenly coated. Press lightly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Let stand until cool, then cut into bars. Store in an airtight container, or wrap individually in plastic wrap.
