To get to the govenor you will probably have to rip a plastic cover off of it. it's under the seat and it's a black small, somewhat triangular cover most likely. under it is a wire with a rubber cover around it. just pull it back and keep it in place with something. this will cause extra gas to go into the engine and works for a few hundred yards. after that, the cart acts a little weird but its not breaking. the engine is just trying to get some gas to work so it has to slow down.

You need to find the governor and put a pencil in it. The governor is what keeps the cart from going faster than the speed it maxes out at.

I loved all of the humerous answers. lol.. actually you can purchase different gearing from several places. Club Car, and aftermarket. Remember that most of the " speed upgrades" will affect output torque so that you may sacrifice hill climbing ability
