Ohh, a theological discussion!
What, like he told Abraham to?
And that was his SON!
Course, he stopped him. But still, that was hard-up.
So uhhh.. by saying god TOLD us to kill someone. I presume you mean via some method beyond the "voices in the head" thing?
Most people in today's society would figure most 'signs' were ignorable and even a 'booming voice from the heavens' could be nothing more than stage effects...
So .. how would you manufacture 'god's voice' in a way that people would accept it? I don't think it's possible. In fact, I'm pretty sure the second coming with be a bit anticlimactic when you consider what people OOH and AHH about in the movies now...
But to answer your question based on what you've said.. uhh. NO. There's no way to know if it's really god? ANd why would he ask us to do something that directly contradicts his commandments?
That's like some serious guilt and what-not he'd be asking you to live with.. not only that, but who's gonna forgive you for that one?
Hmmmm

If God told me to kill someone I would strongly suspect that I had schitzophrenia. As a Christian I would doubt that God would demand that I kill someone. I don't recall even in the Old Testament that God told an individual to kill another individual. He did [ or his intentions were seen as such] demand that the Israelites kill all of the Caananites and every living thing they possessed. The instructions though were given to Moses, a far better man than me and maybe you.

Some people hear voices and believe God told them to kill someone. But God would never tell someone to do something that is against His written word. So the answer is no.

Why is it that if God told you to kill someone 600 years ago you just did it without question, but if God told you to do the same thing today you'd lock them up in a padded room?
By the way, here's a list of people God has killed:

God will not tell you to commit a sin. Killing is against the law. Your countries law and more important God's law. Just remember. Satan can give you mesages that look like they come from God, but they don't. You should seriously talk to God about this, because I know he won't tell you to kill someone. He would rather kill the person himself. Okay? DON'T DO IT!!!!!

No - because that command would not have come from God.
Whenever you think you are receiving a mesage from God - and you might well be - you need to discern its legitimacy. A lot of evil in the world is perpetratedin the name of God, and in truth, God has nothing to do with it.

God is not that kind of spiritual being. He love and care so much his human creatures. If somebody tempt you to kill someone, it is no other than satan who is tempting you. Do not ever allow yourself to be fooled by Satan.

No, because that order fails the test of scripture, the kind of things God would and tell me to do. Now if He told me to help someone somehow, I'd be right on it!

It does not work like that, now does it?
I believe in Freedom through military victory.
The Bible says "thou shalt not murder"
not thou shalt not kill.
When a Christian goes to battle for his/her nation, they should kill the enemy with no problem.
I believe in Capital punishment.
I believe in Freedom through military victory.
I believe in Free choice, Free will.
I believe in the protection of God from evil nations.
Peace out.

No, God would not ask me to disobey His commandments. When you are unsure if its God asking you to do something, ask yourself, does it go against the scriptures. If the answer is yes, its not God.
