I asked a similar question last night and have had a couple replies. My cats poo in the sink instead. maybe I should leave the toilet cover up and see if they go in the toilet instead? It seems from your answers that this is not unusual. My cat litter stinks too so it would be great if they went in the loo! I always knew that cats were better than dogs. I had a Siamese once that used to be able to let herself out of the house and close the door after her too!

I answered a slightly similar question to this earlier today - my cat didn't use the actual toilet but I was getting ready for bed and about to clean my teeth when my Maine Coon cat jumped into the sink - he really likes water so I didn't think much of it - but then he really neatly positioned himself over the plug hole and had a wee!
I was shocked - he's never done that before (that I've seen anyway) I thought you'd have to train cats to do that kind of thing but some seem to just pick it up naturally I guess.

Your acquaintances won't word of the feral cats scuffling with with theirs or the close calls on the line. Please tell them. That advice could prompt them to do something in any different case, like shop the cat in at night perhaps. The leash rules do no longer replace the criminal possession of a cat. If the cat is wandering off their belongings, it rather is taken to the safeguard - the place they could then declare it - even nevertheless it does not replace the undeniable fact that it rather is their cat. I comprehend which you disagree with letting the cat exterior. i do no longer think of that justifies taking it. a lot of people proportion your perspective. a lot of people disagree with your perspective. think of if the placement have been reversed and you had an indoor basically cat, or one basically allowed exterior on a leash. assume your neighbor thought it replaced into extraordinarily merciless to condemn a cat to lifetime imprisonment. It pains your neighbor to think of this perfect cat will on no account run up a tree, sprint around the sector, or stalk a mouse. The neighbor makes a decision to snatch upon any hazard to unlock your cat and flow away with it. Is it ok for them to take your cat because of the fact they think of you're no longer appearing in its appropriate hobbies? for sure you like cats, so please evaluate adopting one from a safeguard. do no longer take this cat that already has a house. healthful cats are euthanized daily and you may supply a marvelous domicile to a variety of.that is a great occasion on your daughter.

I have heard of cats using a toilet, though I have never actually seen it happen.
What a way to save money on kitty litter!

I don't have a cat, but I've heard of it before. A local pet store here actually sells kits to help u teach your cat how to do it.

Yes, one of my former cats did (he died last year, sadly) but sure enough I caught him doing it quite a few times. No idea how he learned it and it was very funny to watch!
