Of course it is not permissible. Moses introduced the 10 commandments to the Jews. Written by God, while Moses corresponded with God through the burning bush. Read your Old Testament. It's right there in black and white. Since you have converted into your husbands faith. You should study what you have converted to. I'm surprised the Rabi didn't have you study before your conversion. Any way the more you learn about your new religion and new life style, the better Hebrew you will be for yourself, your husband and your future children.

Adultery is NEVER ok (see commandment #7).

What you may have heard is that polygamy used to be permitted for men in ancient times. That meant that the legal definition of adultery was a bit different than we think of today. However, there is a difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. A married man and an unmarried woman may not get the death penalty, but it certaintly wasn't encouraged.

If you truly converted, then you should be familiar with the Ten Commandments. Read them again, and you'll find your answer.

I trust that the Jews follow the Ten Commandments, and number 6 says you shall not commit adultery.

Do not follow a religion that has no laws. "It is OK" suggest something. Think and decide.
