Okay this is going to sound really dumb but I had the same issue. We got a blow up owl (found at bird stores, camping stores ect...) we put it on the corner of the deck right by our window and it did the trick. I really don't know why it works but it does, I think maybe because it is bigger than the birds and it is a top preditor. Good luck! My other idea is you can always shoot a bee bee at it (joking).

This bird is seeing it's own reflection in your window and thinks it is another bird, and is trying to attack it. Birds are very territorial, especially now and breeding season is fast approaching. Do you have blinds or curtains on the window? This will cut down on the reflection, or you can actually purchase cut outs shaped like hawks to put on your window...this will keep birds from pecking and hitting windows as well. Many stores such as Walmart will carry these.

The bird is trying to tell you something! Go outside and follow it. Maybe Timmy is in the well!

just kidding. My grandpa uses a plastic owl to keep the birds off his oranges. It has a swiveling head so the birds think it is real. Rubber snakes work too.

Rubber snakes also can scare birds away. My parents did that to keep the birds off of our back porch from eating our cats food. It worked great. We did have to move it from place to place so the birds did not figure out it was fake.

Why don't you set your alarm for 6:25 AM and then go out there and when it comes by you could scare him off?
