Yes I do. Before I retired I would feed them and penions each morning. When I got off at 7am the parking lot was full of them waiting on me.
I would go to Bakery bread outlet and buy "Bird Bread" for a dime a loaf. I would break it up and have two bags full. They would walk with me to the area I feed them. They are so smart.
I would put one bag down walk a way and feed the pegions (must have been at least 100+). The gulls would rush for the bag on the ground. I would say, "No, You wait" and they would stop and back up. If a new one came that didn't know the routine and went for the bag, one of the older ones would chase it away till I got there.
To be fair I would throw some on the ground and some in the air where some would circle and hover and catch it in mid air. I started that cause I found one with one foot and had a hard time fighting for piece on the ground.
After, I would throw the bread in the air for the cripple that would fly around with one leg down. Usually they fly around with both down. Anyway I noticed more and more crippled ones coming in. Then I looked up. They would swoop down with one leg down and as they flew off I could see them lower the other leg. LOL. They would also hover and take from my hand.
Enjoy nature and continue to have fun with The Higher Powers creatures. By the way. I never had one mess on my car and I was told that the days I was off they knew and wouldn't come round.

I use to when I was young, I dont anymore cause when you throw them a piece of bread a 100 come along begging and a then your most likely to get pooped on. I probably would feed them if i was leaving the picnic area and throwing them my leftover food.
Once you feed one they all come..........lol and then you will never get any piece and quiet.
They need to eat to right, so feed away if you want to, nothing wrong with it.

I hate the beach but I do go just to feed the seagulls.

I have videos of them swarming me feeding them leftover dim sum and donuts.

I love to feed and feed and feed them...stuff them really full so they crap all over the beach. It's a good way to vent my mean streak towards people in general.

Yes, sometimes. Once in a while, I’ll even get an order of fries just for them. I enjoy it, they enjoy it, and I don’t do it nearly often enough to mess with their instincts.

Once, when I was little, I was in the newspaper for hand-feeling them. I guess it was a slow news day!

Seagulls are natural fishermen and I think we should not attempt to change their instincts so that they become dependent on fickle humans to provide for them I know how tempting it is to feed them. And, I may be completely wrong. Who knows?
