I have a 3 years old. He used to go to a lady that has been taking care of him since he was 6 months old. Lately, he would cry when I would drop him at her house beacuse he did't want to stay there without me, and once I would leave, he would stop crying. I decided maybe it was time to move up and take him to a day care. I thoght i had found a good one, well recommended and all. The first day he didn't want to get off me and play, but after a while, the first week was pretty good, no crying only at nap time, so I htought my problem was fixed. After one week he got sick, missed day care for one week. Now this week, when I take him back, he won't stop crying, saying he doesn't want to go there. Teachers tell me he only cries for 10-15 mins. Yesterday he didn't want to play or anyhting, he looked sad at home. I don't know what is going on, he wakes up crying, he goes to sleep crying. I'm crying, everyone is crying because he used to be a happy boy! I don't know what to do, HELP PLEASE!!!

if i were in this case i would get some hidden camaras and place them on his body or something and actually visualize what is going on, it could very well be a real bad case of seperation depression but i dont know, i would want to know foresure my self, maybe ask his pediatrician , but i know what its like to have a crying baby all the time, my son was somewhat colic and now is going through the terrible two and is constantly crying and throwing fits its really hard to deal with it sometimes when you just dont know what is going on or what to do

I think that it is a 3 year old thing. My first son was like that when he first went to day care, but after the initial thing, he quit. I would get rid of the day care cause something doesn't sound right! Maybe he needs a little more attention when he's at home.

that's amazingly widely used habit and is frequently harder on mom than the youngster. maximum young little ones end after a jiffy. the indisputable fact that her instructor says she stops crying as quickly as you leave and he or she is chuffed once you p.c.. her up potential this fairly is in basic terms a piece. do no longer make a huge deal approximately it once you drop her off. The extra she sees you're no longer worrying approximately her crying, the quicker she would be in a position to no longer get your interest by utilising throwing the crying act while she is dropped off. provide her a hug and a kiss and tell her bye. She'll get used to it fairly rapid.

It's just a phase. (lots of crying, whining, and tantrums.) My five year old daughter still whines alot. She's spoiled and wants her way ALL THE TIME. That one week that he missed probably set him back at bit. Just have patience it will pass.

Sounds like either major separation anxiety OR there is something going on at the day care and you should probably investigate.
