I'm just trying to come up with an alternate to stupidity to explain the rants. I'm sure that people on both sides of the fence are better than this.

No one's come right out and accused me of being an "infiltrator," but I have been told that I can't be on both sides at the same time, that I'm either for one group or the other but cannot be for both.
Baloney. I'm for freedom of conscience. I can admire and stand up for the rights of my friends and neighbors of faith without being one, just as I can criticize some of their beliefs and practices without hating them or advocating their destruction. Likewise, I have often criticized atheists and my own group, Humanists, for what I believe are our missteps and failings. And I will continue to do so to encourage improvement. As Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes once wrote, "One may criticize even what one reveres."

Even if someone were, I doubt he'd fess up.
Infiltrators are unnecessary. Every group has its share of jerks. I've seen plenty of legitimate Christians, atheists, and other faiths who are naturally jerks.
Although, any Christian pretending to be someone else in a deliberate attempt to weaken another group is certainly not following all 10 Commandments.
Edit: "I'm sure that people on both sides of the fence are better than this." Well, you're a bigger optimist than I am. I've encountered many people who express attitudes similar to what's been on here. As such, I'm not entirely surprised when I read some of the rants.
Of course, that being said, I would not be surprised if some atheist/Christian/etc. did create an account just to masquerade as a Christian/atheist/etc. in order to make people he doesn't like look stupid. As I said, I've seen all sorts of attitudes out there.

It seems when that happens, and I think it does, it's pretty obvious. Since fundieism is about mindless conformity and not personal growth, they don't have the creativity to imitate an atheist the same as they don't have the compassion to imitate Jesus. Atheists can't seem to get that zombie-like faithbot cadence down or keep the sneer out of their post when they play theist. Either way, it's ridiculous, reflects badly on their own viewpoint and should stop.

I am a humble Christian who use to be an arrogant Atheist. Sometimes I like to be the devils advocate, but I don't do that to the Christians or the Atheist. I do it to the Muslims.

I sometimes ask absurd questions about certain beliefs in Christianity or Islam. I try to see if I get any rational responses. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
