I’m sorry, but the people who insisted on a literal interpretation of scripture brought this situation on themselves. I doubt they have any idea how much harm they have done by turning deeply profound writings filled with layers of meaning into something with no more depth than a puddle of water.

I never ask some to prove something from the Bible , although I lived in comunism and hardly could get acces to a bible reading.(the christianity was prohibited and the parents didn't talk about God at home , only the grandparents )
Ever since I was a child I never ask some to prove part of the bible .It would be to me as if I ask some to prove I have a head and shoulders.
Love is proven scientificaly that it exists, because, reason is the one who finds prooves no matter what they are , and reality is
what we see
what we feel
any type of perception .
So you FEEL somebody dear to you ...it is love
You see two kissing - it is love
If ypu don't see them kissing each other- it is not love
If you see a man with his arms around a woman --it is love
If there were no feelings ..there were no science ..Nobody would have been interested to live..

As I understand your question, I would have to say that many Christians are asked to prove the Bible because the Bible is often used as proof of something else. Even the Bible says it has to be taken as a whole, and it also says that it is correct and true. Unfortunately someone, or something, saying it is true does not make it true.
Love, honesty, truth are all debateable.

okay I don't get the last part, but here we go.
Scientifically, they could do studies on love and relationships, but that doesn't really matter, science never says that love exists and only love exists, but christianity claims that the bible is the word of God, meaning the truth and the only truth, so that instigates a need for proof.

You are promoting the "god of the gaps " argument.
Your argument goes something like this :
Can you scientifically prove that 5 inch tall, pink fairies don't exist.
Umm no
Aha ..see that means god can exist.
If no-one can prove love , honesty and truth exist, it still does not mean that god exists. You must be desperate if you have to use weak arguments like that.

The Bible says no one seeks after God, that God calls to man, (Paraphrased). Love has been recorded by a computer, but does that prove it, I doubt it.
Many parts of the Bible have been proved by archeology, but who are we to test God by trying to prove either His existence or the infallibility of His word?
Either we have total faith in Him or we don't. If science proves any part of the Bible then fine. If not, also fine

Actually love, which is an emotion, can be proven through the use of psychological surveys. Some even surmise that there is a physiological reaction as well. Not only have scientists published findings on love; they have even published findings on the many degrees of love (for example the love you feel for your spouse differs from the love you feel for your pet, child, mother, etc.).

If I were to try to convince you that love exists, then I would have to try to prove it. You are certainly welcome to call me on that if I should ever try that.
I don't care if a Christian does believe in the Bible. It makes him happy, so good for him. He is content with a belief system that relies entirely on faith and not proof. So be it.
But when that Christian turns to me and says, "You have really got to understand that the Bible is true," then I'll call him on it. It no longer boils down to one person simply believing in his Bible. Now, that person wants to convince someone else to believe in his Bible.
Now, you must prove parts of the Bible (like all of them) if you intend to sway someone to your belief.
And if you leave unbelievers alone (which goes counter to what many Christians believe), then you have nothing to prove. It's your Bible, and you keep it to yourself. I don't see any problem.

Cuz love is a feeling that is felt by everyone, one point of time or another...the world appreciates and accepts it...
The bible is written by a man...of cos claiming to be the words of jesus...but its written by man...and if you forgot, man can lie...
Besides, when many things contradict with reality, how do any smart humans believe it?
And where did you get the idea to connect love with the parts of bible...use that creativity in thinking logically, perhaps then u will understand my blabber...

We can feel love and even see love (figuratively speaking)
Ever if some parts of the bible is true most fiction comes from some truth (just alterd alot)
But over all god is not real.
