I don't wear ponytails and I rarely use a curling iron. The breakage is at the top of my head and nowhere else. Thanks.

Make sure it has the proper balance of moisture and protein. Every week and a half I deep condition my hair with a protein reconstructor by Soft Sheen and then I use a moisturizing conditioner afterward. I wash my hair every other day and condition it everyday with a leave in conditioner that has keratin in it, which is the main component in hair, it helps rebuild the hair and strengthen it to ward off breakage.

I would first and foremost get a consultation from a liscensed beautician. She could probably direct you to exactly what products to go to. It souds like you need a good conditioning treatment or even a hair restoer. Both of these are highly concentrated, and if you dont know what your doing can cuse more harm than good. Im currently in cosmetology school ,and I personally love "humectress' by Nexxus, it works wonder. You should also try treating your hair twice a weak witht their "Batanoil" shampoo and then use the "humectress" until you can get to a beauty shop. You can purchase Nexxus products at walmart now, Ive seen, but Nexxus products are not cheap. They range from 4.00-15.00,but is totally worth it!
