Since you are in the taxes category, I assume you are asking what rate you should use in claiming your 2006 tax deductions. The IRS has posted the 2006 rate as $0.445 per mile. Any business miles driven with your personal vehicle in 2007 can be claimed at the $0.485 rate next year.

The amount must be reduced by any amount reimbursed by your employer. For example:

If you are reimbursed $0.20 per mile by your employer, you have to take that into consideration (lowering your deduction claim to $0.245/mile).

Hope this helps!
