I'm afraid I haven't studied midwifery yet but st the moment I'm a nursing student and looking to top up my qualification with a midwifery degree. A lot a the work is 50/50 theory and practice at my University, 7 weeks in Univeristy and 7 weeks in hospital. You cover all clinical aspects but there is a lot a legal aspects to cover such as consent, Human Rights etc. I would suggest that if you thought it was all cute babies then think again, but if you are prepared to be up all night writing essays after doing a long day shift at hospital then go ahead, the rewards will be worth it in the end.
