My mother-in-law is flying in from overseas. She speaks no English whatsoever. I need to come up with a list of phrases she will have on a piece of paper. She will also have Russian translation to go along, so she could just point to a phrase when she needs to.
If you have such a list or have come across one on the net, please share.
Thanks

But however hard you try, people will invariably come up with unexpected words. And I find that staff at Heathrow are not required to know any language other than English.

http://www.amadeus.net/home/phrasebook/v1/index.htm is a good site provided you are able to translate it into Russian for her to use. (It only comes in English, French, German, Italian, Portugese, and Spanish.) But, it's a very good list for necessary words.

Taxi,
Bathroom,
Your address,
Your phone number,
Your name,
Police, (in case she gets into trouble or someone robs her)
Help,
Russian, (so they know her language)
