Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon will both have strong runs, being past multiple winners.. Matt Kenseth has won there and usually runs well there. Tony Stewart has never won there but will have a strong run like always there... he's usually in top 10 there. If I had to pick any sleeper type picks.. RCR doesnt always run great there but I'd say Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer will have exceptionally good runs.. top-3 even... Harvick is a shoe-in to have a good run.

Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson get around Vegas as good as any drivers. Jimmie won the last 2 years and Matt won the 2 before that. Biffle and Kahne are both strong here as well when they don't wreck or have engine failures. The Busch bros. are from Vegas and have a comfort zone here and know how to run on the intermediate tracks. Finally Jeff Gordon and Jeff Burton are very good here and are both past champions. Right now I would say Burton is on a roll and has great momentum going into this race but if I were putting money on it Kenseth just seems to always be a contender at the end. In Matt's last 4 races in Las Vegas he has won it twice, come in 2nd once and his "bad" finish was 8th.

Top 10 drivers at Las Vegas (and their average finish)
1. Jimmie Johnson~ 7.0
2. Matt Kenseth~8.1
3. Casey Mears~ 9.5
4. Denny Hamlin~ 10.0
5. Jeff Burton~ 10.6
6. Tony Stewart~ 11.8
7. Mark Martin~ 11.9
8. Kevin Harvick~ 13.8
9. Jeff Gordon~ 14.1
10.Kasey Kahne~ 14.7

But, Hamlin only has one start. And, Kahne only has 3 starts, one of which he was in an accident. He runs better than his average finish (his other 2 finishes are 2nd and 4th). Kahne and Stewart were fast in testing. All Evernham and Childress cars were fast.

DEI and RYR do not typically run well at LVMS.

But, the track is completely different, so going by testing speeds, Kahne will be the guy to beat! With Stewart, Riggs and Sadler close behind him.

The best drivers on 1.5 mile tracks now are Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, and Kasey Kahne. Sleepers are Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick, and Carl Edwards.

I really think Jimmie Johnson in the 48 is the best pick. Also as a backup the 24 of Jeff Gordon isn't bad either.

Hard to say as this track is now totally different from the way it used to be. Being it is now similar to Atlanta and Texas, I'd say Kasey Kahne should have a strong run.

Roush Racing has done very well there as well as the teams of the 24 & 48 team. Roush won the first 3 races there I believe.
