You're what I call a "fixer". You take on the problems of others and try to solve them. Eventually, that trait wears you down and sometimes it even causes friction (as in you try to help but it only gets worse). My advice to you is to explore why you feel the need to fix other people's problems. You can't save the world. The best thing you could do for your own mental health is to realize that and curtail your problem as quickly as possible. You'll be much happier!

I don't like it either sometimes but.....it does need to be said every now and then. It's a guilty conscience thing.....I want to satisfy the person but.....can't always provide that for them.

no.... i have learned that sometimes, just cuz i 'can' do something, it doesnt mean i should do it... sometimes my doing things means that people don't help themselves, or learn something new, or maybe in my not doing something, a new person starts a ministry they hadnt before. Guilt is something satan uses to make us burdened by way more stuff to 'do' than we should be doing. it is a hard lesson to learn.. but sometimes by saying no, we are helping someone learn new things.... hope you can find that place of balance!

That is exactly my problem and exactly the way I feel. I want to solve every problem that a person presents to me and sometimes they just want to talk about the issue.

I know what you mean. People can really overwhelm you. It is perfectly OK to say "I'll pray about it" . : )

Yes and it's very annoying, especially when you really want to but can't.
