Talk to your vet. Since a real breeder would know this, you need to be prepared for anything that can go wrong and your vet is the best person to ask.

Is it a miniature or regular. Most minnies only have 3-5. I have seen a regular dachsund have 8. The first litter may be smaller than any future litters you have. There are so many homeless pets out there, you should realy consider getting her spayed.

There is no way to know this for certain. Since you are a first time dog breeder, I would suggest having an ultrasound done to count puppies or if that isn't possible you can have her xrayed a couple of days before she is due and count puppies. Then you will know when she is "done" having them.

Usually 3-4, but it can be more or less. Mine came from a litter of 3.

They can anything upto 8 or more but the average is 4-6. Good Luck!

4 or 5for the regular, and 2 or 3 for the miniature breed

Unless this is your profession, don't breed. Spay and neuter you won't regret. If you're in it for the money you aren''t very smart. You most likely won't make a profit with all the vet costs etc.
