There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Arbonne has an excellent botanically based anti-aging formula that addresses the after effects of sun damage and aging. Their eye cream contains kojic acid which is a natural lightening agent that reduces the appearance of long term environmental damage such as brown spots, freckles, dark circles, and puffiness. It is also great for spot treating. The skin around your eyes is very sensitive. When you apply eye crème, you want to use your ring fingers because they apply the least amount of pressure. I would be happy to send you a free sample if you would be open to giving it a try.

I had this problem as well as a teenager. Sadly it can be many things, it can be low iron, dehydration, genetic, lack of sleep. Always moisturize under your eyes twice a day and have a good multi-vitamin, and drink plenty of water. There are so many products out there that promise to rid you of under eye circles, but the truth is they only work for hours at a time. See your doctors to check your iron levels first to be sure.

There aren't a lot of home remidies to this solution. The skin under the eyes is some of the thinnest skin we have. There is an over the counter product called hylexin, but it is rather expensive.

vitamon c with bioflavanoids.
cod liver oil.
no alcohol.
I have heriditary dark undereye circles. I tried these things and I did see improvement. I use one of those yellow colored undereye cover up sticks, too. I cover it up further more with a foundation cover-up. I like Revlon color-stay the best because it lasts all day.

make-up. there is no magical cure for those. i too get them (i have my share of allergies) and the only way to get rid of them is too cover them up. another way to not draw attention to them is to use mascara only on the top eyelashes drawing attention to the top and not the botton.
it sounds like you honestly don't really care what you look like but wish that it looked better. honey i think the only way to cover them up is make up. sorry.
