Well you might blend in when it comes to looks but with your accent that will give it away.
But the Turks are VERY friendly people no matter where you're from. And I am VERY sure you will be treated very well...
With all but ONE thing....the shopkeepers.
The often will try to rip you off, or, for example, you went into a shop and something cost around 50 lira then he will tell you maybe 120 lira and he will 'bargin' with you but sitll you probably will pay more than the 50 lira it originally cost.
But when it comes to looks most likely not.
And even then...being treated as a tourist isn't a bad thing...the hospitality is amazing.
Good luck
and enjoy!

I think, in Turkey, it is the attitude not the looks that determines how much you will blend in. If you are friendly and not stand offish; Turks will welcome you even if you were from the Moon. Your skin may help to blend you in for first 3 seconds; after that they know you are a foreigner; yet this discovery, if it makes any difference, would most likely be to your benefit.
Turks have many looks and skin colors due to their centuries long diverse and open political and social life style. Some common traits can be found by region.
Back in the day, Ottoman Sultan's often married foreigners. So there has been no obsession to keep a pure Turkish Blood.
Although most Turks have the olive mediterranian skin, there are noticable amount of blonds, red heads, as well as blue and green eyes.
Footnote: However, like most places in the planet, it is hard to get the true count of blonds and redheads in Turkey due to cosmetics :)..
Enjoy your time in Turkey. Dont worry about blending in. Use normal caution you would apply anywhere else in the planet and I think you will be just fine.
