Before i met her i was a "loner" so i used sarcasm a lot so now it's become an unbreakable habit. I do it to everyone, even close friends and my mom. It's like a disease.

control your self

That's ridiculous. You're saying that you have no control over your mouth, that it opens up and starts saying things that you really don't want to say. How absurd! You talk as though you have a demon inside you that is uncontrollable. That's baloney. That's you're excuse for being a blabber mouth.

Think about what you say before you say it. Try to imagine how the words will affect the people who hear them. Think about how you would feel if someone said these things to you.
There is no one controlling your mouth except you. Try keeping your mouth shut for a change. Keep telling yourself that you have two ears and one mouth so you should be listening twice as much as talking. It is NOT a disease. It's just lack of self discipline plain and simple.

Fact of the matter is you really don't want to stop because it gets you so much attention. If it's important enough to you, you'll stop. Stand up and take responsibility for your actions and make the effort on a daily basis to quit it. All habits can be broken. It takes about three weeks to form a new one and the same amount of time to break one. What are you waiting for?

It is hard to stop. I used to be (and sometimes still am) very sarcastic. It eventually got me into so much trouble with people, I just had to stop. It can only be controled by strong power of will.

Its hard to break..I too have been accused of having a "slick" sarcastic mouth by my other half. It is very hard i try and just control what i say cause normally my other half claims i always have something to say about something..I just think before i speak and try and bite my tongue..that doesnt always work at all.So just try and switch up it will help believe me.

when you're tired of being alone..."really sick of it", then you'll stop the sarcasm. i don't know...maybe there's something that you're afraid of, or maybe there's something that you're trying to conceal. sarcasm has been a defense mechanism for you, a mechanism that hasn't been working, so when you're tired of the end result, you'll automatically change.

before you say something sarcastic think about what it would be like without your gf b/c of what you're about to say, then you might stop if you really care about being with her.
