I've had a burning question for awhile now. Do you think all the NASCAR drivers are clean? I mean, I know a bunch of em drink and party.. Whatever.. But what about drugs? I mean, I'm sure they don't do meth, crack, X.. Nothing like that.. But what about Marijuana? I can see some of those boys going home after the race on sunday.. sitting down and just packing a bowl into a 4 foot gravity bong and just smoking down!!! What do you think? No Potheads in NASCAR? Some Potheads in NASCAR? If so.. Who?

I know that Dale Jr admitted in his interview with Playboy that when he was a teenager that he and his friends tried pot and mushrooms but he quit that.
As for the other drivers...nope. Nascar is really strict on the drug policy. Dale Jr's spotter, Steve Hmiel's son Shane used to drive in Nascar and he got suspended indefinetely for abusing the drug policy.
So to answer your question...Nascar and weed do not go together. A lot of the drivers drink and party but they don't do drugs.

I think that if drug and alcohol use should be banned in any sport, NASCAR is the one that should completely outlaw it. In baseball if they use steroids, they don't hurt anyone but themselves. But in NASCAR if they drive while they are high, they could Kill someone. I won't say that the drivers don't use, I would just think that NASCAR would have a drug testing and zero tolerance policy. I know that when Tony Stewart was hurt last season, he had to either sit out races or go without the medication, because NASCAR would not let him drive while he was taking pain killers- he sat out like two races.
But now that I think of it, why do they call Stewart Smoke? Makes you wonder.

Ok every weekend drivers get drug tested. They are randomly picked. Lets say 10 drivers get tested for drugs each week. Well the 10 drivers would be randomly picked they wouldn't know if they were the ones goin to be tested or not. Not sure if this is makin any sence. But I know that the drugs can stay in your system for a couple of days. So if they did the drugs and were the ones that was picked for that weeks drug test they would be caught. The only driver that did drugs was Shane Hmiel. He was caught when they did a random drug test on him. He then went to rehap. and got a second chance at racin. Since he was caught doin drugs he was then tested every week. He got caught again takin drugs and was put back into rehap. He was givin another chance but durin his rehap. he was tested and got caught doin drugs and now he is not allowed to do anything that is involved in racin and Nascar. So it is hard for the drivers to do drugs and get away with it. So there are probally no potheads in Nascar.

This is a good question. I'd like to think our drivers are clean. You may remember in 2005 Shane Hmiel was ejected from NASCAR for substance abuse and I think has a lifetime ban from the sport. But this is fun to think about.

Ask Steve Hmeil or Kevin Grubbs.They both failed NASCR random drug screens .Both tested positive for marijuana and other sustance twice.NASCAR even sent them to rehab and they still failed an at large random drug screen after they got their NASCAR license back.

i think there are some i mean look at Hmiel kid last year being banned from NASCAR because he pissed dirty as they say not once but twice so yes there are the POTHEADS out there but i don't think there are many though

unfortunately no and its a shame, yea dig on that Shane Hmeil story cause he got the shaft hard man. Thats why none of them do, no i just know that lots of them WANT to but they just cant cause i can totally see at least 25% of the field burning down just like the good ol boys they are. Cant you just see kevin harvick, dale jarret, jr., elliot sadler and jimmy johnson getting together after a race and just getting ripped and acting silly?! Then Tony Stewart would bust in with some massive hand blown glass bong/hookah or something with some kind buds and just get everyone toasted. Oh and Kasey Khane looks AND acts stoned so often. Hillarious!

They have a STRICT drug policy...........No drugs--period. They have suspended a couple of drivers for drugs and also alcohol.....Also they don't even allow tobacco products to be advertised on the cars. That's why there is no more Winston Cup.......NASCAR is verrrrry strict......................
