Besides disk cleanup and clearing my temp files is there any other way to find out if there are unwanted pics on my computer? Even after I do this are they still there? I know I can do the *.jpeg search to pull up all the pics on the computer. Basically I have some pics of an old fling that I don’t want anyone to find

There are several factors involved.
The saved criteria are the most important. Tiff files, and all other tag files must be viewed in the format they were made.
Deleting any file just removes the first letter in front of the file name so the computer cannot recognize it and work with it.
Try using the all files symbol used in DOS.
Rather than mess with a time consuming search and destroy, reformat and reload windows.
Got into the bummer websites huh!

best way is to do a search with *.jp*
That way you pic up files with the extension jpeg as well as jpg. Delete the files and then make sure you empty the recycle bin. After that, do a disk defrag and optimisation so that the files are actually fully removed

All temp Internet images are located in: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. And usually saved images from the met are downloaded to: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\My Pictures. Do a file/folder search for *.jpg, *.gif, *.png. Those are the most common image file formats.

Google these programs... EasyCleaner and CleanUp...those are two utilities that remove all temporary information and files.

You may want to manually clear your temp directory as well.

Clear all history and autofill forms just in case too.

Good luck!
