Below is the link to my recipezaar page. All the recipes on there are pretty easy to make and don't cost a fortune. They're all perfect for what to have when NOTHING sounds good and you're tired of the same old thing. (Well, the chocolate chip cookies and fruit cake probably aren't such a great choice for dinner, but everything else is!) If you have the time (and don't mind the extra fat and calories, I suggest trying the mac and cheese. Seriously--the best I've ever had. :) Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Sweet and Sour Lamb Recipe
Ingredients : Serves 4
25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter or margarine
8 lamb cutlets
1 onion, chopped
25 g/1 oz/0.25 cup comflour (cornstarch)
30 ml/2 tbsp white wine vinegar
5 ml/1 tsp soy sauce
400 g/14 oz/1 large can of pineapple rings
150 ml/0.25 pt Chicken Stock
15 ml/1 tbsp chopped parsley
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Boiled rice, to serve
Melt the butter or margarine and fry (saute) the lamb for 10 minutes on each side until crisp and brown. Transfer to a warm serving dish and keep warm. Fry the onion until soft but not brown, then drain off any excess fat. Mix together the cornflour, wine vinegar and soy sauce and add it to the pan with the juice from the pineapple and the stock. Bring to the boil, stirring, and boil for a few minutes until the sauce thickens. Add the cutlets and parsley, season to taste and simmer for 15 minutes. Garnish with the pineapple rings and serve with boiled rice.

I've been there. What I did was order this magazine: http://www.bestsimplerecipes.com - it's cheap and has a bunch of ideas.. Then I started browsing allrecipes.com and came up with a list of things I wanted to try. Be sure to read the reviews and see how ppl have changed the recipe though.
I hate being in that rut. I'm there now and have nothing but 5 lbs of chicken in my fridge, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it... maybe:
chicken breast on the Foreman / with this sauce: 1/4 c brown sugar, 1 sliced onion, saute together until carmalized, spoon onto chicken and top with 2 small pieces of bacon!!!
Serve either alone or with buns, ranch dressing, lettuce & tomato

What I do when my husband gets like that is grab a cookbook or cooking magazine I haven't read in a while and just thumb through it for ideas. Or I think of something we have and need to use up and plug it into epicurious.com for ideas. Or maybe even try a different cuisine.
Cooking for a guy can be so hard!

When you go out to eat, what do you eat? Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai?? When you figure that out then buy a cook book for that type of cooking and try a different recipe each night!
Or recipe books by Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson are always very imaginative and inspired.

Make him breakfast for dinner! Every so often I'll make a traditional breakfast like pancakes and sausages, or eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast, for dinner. It's different and really hits the spot once in a while for an unexpected treat!

What do you eat now that has you bored and what are you willing to try? Go to a local restaurant that you've never been to before to find some inspiration. That may help, look on line to expand on you've tried and try something. new. Good luck!

I know that feeling. It's hard to suggest something else when we don't know what your every day meals are like, so try www.bbc.co.uk/food and try the recipe search, or try Delia Smith's website, just type that into google and you'll find it.

I would say to start watching the food network and get ideas of what you see that you might like to try. I know thats how I get ideas for new dishes.
