I would have pref long haul but know this isnt possible due to me being only 5ft 1in

You need to look towards the smaller regional air carriers who operate smaller aircraft with lower ceilings. Generally speaking although there are no height restrictions these days due to discrimination laws, it is still necessary for safety purposes for a stewardess to be able to reach and open the overhead lockers, which effectively rules out most people under 5ft 4in on safety grounds for most of the major airlines and craft. Your chances would be greatly improved by approaching a smaller airline that served the highlands and islands of Scotland for example, though I can't think of any of the top of my head.

Check with some of small airlines that operate 15 - 30 seat Aircraft

MIDGETAIR which i think is based in the northwest have no height restrictions ps: im just over 6ft but i have a thing for the smaller lady ;)
