This has the legal information, but wanted to say that you have a very good state for homeschooling, there is no mandatory testing, no forms to fill out. The state considers homeschools to be private schools and you have all the rights of a private school. It does say that you must keep attendence 'just in case' the superintendent requests so, and it states that if the superintendent asks you must tell them the age of children in the 'private school'

The cool thing is that the state says that there is no mandatory equivalent education, and no requirements for subject matters, so you can teach your child in the manner that best suites him/her without concern for fulfilling someone else's requirements.

And just for fun i found this and thought it cool (quote)
n Mazanec v. North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation, 614 F. Supp. 1152 (N.D. Ind. 1985),
(aff’d by 798 F.2d 230), a federal district court recognized that parents have the constitutional right to
educate their children in a home environment (at page 1160). The court wrote concerning the
qualifications of home school parents that, “it is now doubtful that the requirements of a formally
licensed or certified teacher ... would pass constitutional muster.” (at p. 1160).

Indiana is pretty cool about homeschooling. Really all you have to do is go to the school and take your kid out of school.
