First of all, your always harder on yourself then you should be, so you may be reading into things to much. But I was mis-diagnosed as bi-polar when I was younger because of my symptoms, which were manic lows where I thought life was hopeless and wasn't worth living. And manic highs where I could take on the world and do anything I wanted to. I would go from one extreme to another at the drop of a pin. Later my medical doctor found a hormone imbalence that was causing my mood swings. So get checked out with your regular doctor and a pshyciatrist. If nothing else it would help to have a clear perspective from an outside professional on symptoms you feel your having. I don't know about the MPD, I haven't met anyone with it.

First off Wellbutrin can and will make you more manic:
try this instead
-no caffeine
-no excess sugar
-regular sleep
-no drugs
-multivatamin
-stay away from diet sodas
-light excercise not intense but maybe even just a 5-10 min walk a day
-find a good church and stay there
We have to look at WHO we are being compared to. We are all different people, are we all supposed to never be extra happy (manic) or very sad (depression) at times in our life??? In other words what we have here people is what started out as a legit medical industry which diagnosed people with real disorders like schizoprhorenia initially, but now the medications are a multi billion if not multi trillion dollar industry/scam and people are taking them more often than cold medications...I firmly beleive in many cases there are doctors in our country which are making millions abuseively prescribing more medications than needed or at least encouraging this. It is like a med-icide, if you do not have the moral values and looks of an upper class white person than they know they cant use genoicide and get away with it so they use med-cide to force you to be tired worn out and forever dependednt on their useless medications which were unethically discovered in many cases from Nazi war doctors who tortured innocent Jewish prisoners (the scary thing is some of these doctors are here in America practicing as psychiatrists today). Rememeber Jesus said tothe woman Mary Magdalene "Go and sin no more" he did not say...go and come back every week for your pills. True beleivers in God can cast out demons without nurses, doctors, psychiatrists OR MEDICATIONS....May the Grace of The Lord Jesus be with us all ...this is to the joker (you know who you are)
"Satan the Lord rebuketh you." -The Archangel Micheal

I'm a nurse. You should seek the advice of a doctor for a proper diagnoses. You could just be stressed or even having a nervous breakdown, it happens. Try to stay focused and do what is necessary for your life. Write down your feelings on paper, like a journal. You will get through this and shine like the diamond you are. Take care and all the best.

After 55 years on this planet, I'm of the belief that nearly ALL people have some form of mental illness that isn't diagnosed. Apparently, it's no big deal as long as you can "pretend" to be "normal" as most folks seem able to do.

I agree with peachy. We all got a little loony side. I think if you think you got a mental disorder you probaly don't. I've worked with people that really do and they don't recongnize that something is wrong with them. There are different degrees of mental disorders (mild , severe, ect...) just like there are for physical sicknesses. No one is perfectly 100% sane. I hear voices that tell me you are crazy and my ex- husband used to tell me I was. Hey, looks who's in prison now and it aint me. Ha!

I think I have Bipolar disorder.
There is family history, and I have the symptoms sometimes. My mom doesn't notice because she's used to my dad's, not a variation and shorter mood swings of a kid.
The first step is reconigizing that you may have it. Good luck!
