Some religious Muslims and scholars believe Buddha is a prophet of God and many scholars put forth the argument that he is in the Quran, identified as Dhu'l-Kifl. His teaching coincide with Islamic teaching. Mediation, the middle course, humbleness, learning and obtaining knowledge, fasting, the after life... Me being Muslim and after studying Buddhism I believe there is no way he could have made it up, i believe he was inspired by God. I also believe Buddha identifies a Higher Being
and his teachings.
So long answer for yes.

History has ample proof that Muslims can get on well with any body including Buddhists.
".........that Sun- Yet -Sen, the republican leader announced greatfully, " The Chinese will never forget the assistance with thier muslim fellow-countrymen have rendered in the interest of order and liberty."--[ VEMB'ERY, An Approach between moslem and BUDDHISTS"- 19th century and afterwards, April-1912 ]
"Innumerable monasteries, with a wealth of treasure of which the
worth has been calculated at not less than a hundred millions
sterling, enjoyed the benefit of the Holy Prophet's (Muhammad’s)
Charter to the monks of Sinai and were religiously respected by
the Muslims. The various sects of Christians were represented
in the Council of the Empire by their patriarchs, on the provincial
and district council by their bishops, in the village council by
their priests, whose word was always taken without question
on things which were the sole concern of their community..."
(Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall in 'Tolerance in Islam')
"....A 'Khalif' of Baghdad declared that the Christians were most
worthy of trust in the administration of Persia. The Paulicians,
those valiant fore-runners of the Protestents Reformation not
only recieved freedom of worship in the Saracen Empire, but
were actually supported by the Khalifs in thier prolonged effort to
subvert the degenerated Catholic Church, and reestablish
Christianity in its original form."--[The Historic Role of Islam, by
M.N.Roy,pg-46,Vora & Co.8 Round Building, Bombay-2]
" All his creatures are Allah's family for thier subsistance is from
him, therefore the most beloved of Allah is the person who does
greatest good to Allah's creatures."--The Quran
" Assist any person oppressed, WHETHER MUSLIM OR NON-MUSLIM."--Mohammad
" Make peace among them with justice and act equitably, surely
Allah loves those who act equitably."--The Quran [49:9]
" He himself [the prophet] gave letters of security and protection to the Jews and Christians in Arabia and never used any violence to them upon the account of religion."--[ An Account of The Rise And Progress of Mahometanism with the life of Mahomet- by HENRY STUBBE, M.A. of Christ Church- Oxford, From a manuscript copied by Charles Hornby of Pipe office in 1705, London,Luzac & Co. 1911, pg- 142-143]

Those who kill, that are claiming to be fighting solely for their religion, ruin their religion's reputation. I believe that those who do so are following a so called prophet of their religion, who is twisting it to their own ends.
