Hi, I think worshiping god...is remembering him, knowing that there was a beginning, and there is an end. A lifetime is not forever...i know my belief is different from alot of people but i think by doing the right things we are worshiping god. Not majorly by singing his priases or reading his scriptures but by ackowledging the right form the wrong and do what makes you spiritually happy in the right way. God wants us to have peace of mind. also i think there is no judgement day ..that we are being judged everyday right here right now and when that spirit goes ...its goes to that final destination. All the questions are asked and all the answers are given right here. I think this is our judgment, and its everyday til the day we die. Hey its just what i think...im not perfect but i can only try.

"Worship" is nothing but chanellising the mind in a particular direction thru concentrating and seeking for something. It is nothing but increasing the capacity of mind in other words using more ounces of the mind for seeking something. capacity of a computer is increased by upgrading the computer manually and capacity of the mind is increased by upgrading thru concentration. 'Worship' could be directed towards a statue of the god, or space or fire, or earth or sea or mountain or photograph of our parents or guru who guides us. "Worship" the word sounds very religious but worship could be for seeking anything. even a thief worships and a police also worships. it has to be understood very clearly that what we do not like others to do to us, that should not be done by us to others and then if we worship it will be fruitful.

Hi there! I don't know where do you come from, but I don't think you are american. I'm from Brazil.
Worship God is to lay ours harts in His presence. It's all about our harts. (I apologyze if my english writting is awful)
To worship God is to look for His will and put Him in first place in our lifes. Is to obey Him and love Him.
When we sing a song to Him for example, we worship Him if we put our hart in it.
I hope that you find this by yourself in your life. Because is so good the feeling when we worship God with all our harts!
God bless you!

The jobs of the caste wherein one is born by nature is his worships and prayers. If he adopts other castes' job, he is a sinner and cannot achieve perfection (Moksha) and may take rebirth in other worst species. Reading, writing, knowledge, learning, education, temple prayers are the jobs of Brahmins alone.

Srimad Bhagavatam(12.3.52),
Whatever result was obtained in Satya-yuga by meditating on Vishnu, in Treta-yuga by performing sacrifices, and in Dvapara-yuga by serving the Lord's lotus feet can be obtained in Kali-yuga simply by chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
So the scriptures inform us that God is worshiped in the four different yugas by four different process.
1. Satya-yuga by meditating on Vishnu,
2. Treta-yuga by performing sacrifices,
3. Dvapara-yuga by serving the Lord's lotus feet in the temples
4. Kali-yuga simply by chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
See below the purport to Bhagavad-gita(3.10) by
A.C.Bhaktiv edanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON(International Society for Krishna Consciousness)
Lord Krishna in His devotional form (as Lord Caitanya) is mentioned in the Srimad-Bhagavatam (11.5.32) as follows, with special reference to the sankirtana-yajna:
krishna-varnam tvisakrishnam sangopangastra-parsadam
yajnaih sankirtana-prayair yajanti hi su-medhasah
"In this Age of Kali, people who are endowed with sufficient intelligence will worship the Lord, who is accompanied by His associates, by performance of sankirtana-yajna." Other yajnas prescribed in the Vedic literatures are not easy to perform in this Age of Kali, but the sankirtana-yajna is easy and sublime for all purposes, as recommended in Bhagavad-gita also (9.14).
"Always chanting My glories, endeavoring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion".
See the following enlightening knowledge from Srila Bhakti Vindoda Thakura, the great-grand spiritual master of A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada(founder of ISKCON)
In Bhagavad-gita (9.25) it is said:"They who WORSHIP matter remain in the material world."
Therefore the conclusion of the scriptures is that WORSHIP of matter is not allowed. That you can see. However, a certain point should be explained. Human beings are situated on different levels of knowledge and purity. A person situated in pure spiritual knowledge is able to WORSHIP the pure spiritual form of the Lord. Persons situated on lower levels of spiritual awareness understand the Lord to a lesser degree, and they who are on the lowest level cannot understand the Lord's spiritual nature at all. When he meditates on God, a person on the lowest level inevitably imagines that God has a material form with material qualities. To think that the deity form of the Lord is a statue made of clay is the same as to meditate in the mind on a Supreme that one imagines to have a form made of matter. Actually for persons on that level of advancement, WORSHIP of the deity form of the Lord is very beneficial. In fact, if there were no deity WORSHIP, the people in general would be in an inauspicious condition. If an ordinary person eager to see God were not able to see the deity form of the Lord, then he would lose hope that he would ever see the Lord. The followers of religions that forbid deity WORSHIP are on a low level of spiritual advancement. They are materialistic and not interested in WORSHIPING the Lord. Therefore deity WORSHIP is the foundation of religion. Pure and wise saints gaze on the form of the Supreme Lord. Their hearts purified by devotion, they know that the deity form of the Lord is pure spirit. As the heart becomes more and more purified by devotion, the WORSHIPPER gradually comes to understand that the deity form of the Lord is a spiritual form reflected within the realm of the material world. Thus the deity form is the spiritual form of the Lord, a form that the great saints have arranged to be reflected within the material world. An advanced devotees can directly perceive that the deity form is perfectly spiritual. An intermediate devotee thinks the deity form is a mental image. At first a neophyte devotee thinks the deity is a statue made of material elements, but as he gradually become pure in heart, he also gradually comes to understand that the deity is actually made of spirit. Therefore the deity form of the Lord should be WORSHIPED by all classes of devotees. To WORSHIP an imaginary form is forbidden. However, to WORSHIP the real eternal form of the Lord is very auspicious.
