The taxi fare will vary depending on traffic (which causes delays which they are allowed to charge for), time of day, etc.
Below is a site which will help you make a calculation.
Go on Yahoo Directions to determine the approximate route you would take, the length in terms of miles, and the time. With the number of miles, you'd then be able to make the calculation.
You'd also be able to understand a little better the route you would take so that you can be more confident the driver is taking you for a ride.
