Jock itch isn't caused by bacteria. It's a yeast infection. It can easily be treated with over the counter medications. Any topical preparation that contains miconazole will work well, including products for women's vaginal yeast infections. Just read the active ingredient listing and purchase the one that least expensive. Thoroughly clean, and dry the area twice a day and apply the medication. If you don't notice a real reduction in the symptoms within 2 weeks, see a doctor.

You could try plain yogurt not honey and oil oil. However I would used medicated talc, you can get this in the pharmacy it is a cheap alternative and will stop the itching it particulaly for jock itch and athletes foot. Also sleep naked so you get aired out, and keep out of the swimming pool because of the chlorine.

If not treated, jock itch can become a real problem, Keep the area dry and use lots of talc powder. Baby powder is good too.If you don't see improvement in a couple of days, see a doctor.
