I've seen loads. I think it is wrong and people should really stop doing it. Why is there never a policeman when you want one?

i think that in some circumstances it is important to answer your phone whilst driving, i am quite capable of using it and driving. I recently borrowed my boyfriends sat nav which i found far more distracting than any mobile phone and look how many people are using those now.
Whilst on the subject i strongly believe that people who reach the age of about 60 should have to retake their test as they are the largest and most dangerous problem on the roads! They drive along at 35 - 40 0n a road with a limit of 60 and its so dangerous if you come up behind one on a bend. They also take forever to turn into junctions, yet if we go up the back of them its our fault!! Put a grandad and sat nav together and uv got an accident waiting to happen!!!

Many. And as a cyclist you can spot people doing it even before you can see the driver - driving badly!
I also see people doing it with their kids in the car and when you consider that you are 4 times more likely to crash it just amazes me that people would do it with their kids there (also applies to hand free calls by the way). Just incredible.
Perosnally I think that if you kill someone whilst driving and using a mobile you sohuld be done for manslaughter.

I think that people on mobile phones while driving are inconciderate and incompetant twits and deserve more than 3 points and a fine for putting so many lives at risk - just for the sake of a phone call.!
I hated people doing it before the enforcement came in - my partner being one of them - I refused point blank to be in the car at the same time as him if he was driving and intended on talking. He now pulls over if his phone rings or just ignores it - I have bought him a earpiece which is voice activated now which he uses.
If anyone reading this uses their phone while driving and thinks its ok - just think about how you would feel if someone killed the one person you loved most in the world - just cos they were on their phone - how would you feel?
Then think on a bit more - how would you feel if you killed someone - could you face a prison sentance?
think on is what I say....

I see this all the time .I HATE IT . I almost was in 4 accidents because of cell -phone distracted drivers .
I`d like to invent a device that sends an ear piercing frequency whistle to a drivers cell phone while he is using it when driving .
Maybe a scrambler might even work if other drivers all used them when they see drivers on the phone .

Too many and most seem to be business type people who you think would have hands free.
A friend of mine got stopped on Monday when the new law came into force but was let off with a stern warning as the officer was on his own and did not have his camera switched on.
He already has 9 points!

I am a dreaded sales rep,20 years ago drink driving was taken fairly lightly by society, police etc.
20 years on ,things have changed, personally from experiance ,i believe attitudes have to change as regards mobiles whilst driving,,it will happen but it will take time....

there's a reason why the phone shops sell hands free...and i don't see anyone use them....i hate people who talk on their phones while driving...yes they should be fined and yes they should have points added to their license a little girl of 5 was killed by someone who was talking on her phone while driving...and she knew full well that it was against the law....i think it's terrible that people ignore this, there should be a bigger penalty for drivers who use their phones in a car and not just a poxy £60 fine.....so i totally disagree with any one that does it....EDUCATE YOURSELVES to those who still do it

Tons of times, I don't mind seeing people on their cell phones while driving IF they drive properly while doing it. Most of the people I see drive slower and don't pay attention and the irritates the heck out of me! I pull over when I get a phone call if it's going to last longer than 2 minutes.

Some people cannot drive and chew gum at the same time let alone drive with a cell phone glued to their ear.
