I have to pull them up in a loose scrunchie at night, so the next morning, they are stringy and SHOT when I pull them down. My extensionist told me that most people can skip a day of washing theirs. WHAT am I doing wrong??? I asked her about it and she said she couldn't understand why they would be so stringy and am I backbrushing them?:?:? I am brushing them until I'm blue in the face, but I just don't know why I can't go an extra day with them?

It might just be your hair generating more oil than normal. Stringy hair normally means that your scalp is overproducing oil (in general).

If you had stringy hair before the extensions, then you, (like me and many others), cannot skip a day of washing your hair.

You might want to try using talc (aka baby powder) or any kind of "hair powder" to soak up that excess oil on your scalp, and that might prevent your hair from going stringy/oily the next day. But no guarantees, especially if you have dark hair - the powder might show little white streaks...

Sorry! :(
