We old Marines are such stinkers, we need the young ones to keep us in line! lol - actually, there are a number of benefits. It teaches self-discipline, teamwork, highly valuable leadership skills, and the value of top physical conditioning. It really is a life-changing experience, and most old Marines will attest, the changes are for the good. Frankly, it helps young people - male and female -grow into solid, responsible and respectable citizens.

The downside - we can't ignore that - is that Marines sometimes get sent in harm's way and get seriously injured or killed. We who've been there often feel the people we fought for - our fellow citizens - don't take their responsibilities seriously enough. So as we exit active duty, we become advocates for injured and disabled servicemen and servicewomen. By the way - there's no such thing as an "ex-Marine". Once a Marine, always a Marine.

The young marines is a program that works just a ROTC but for younger kids. It instill morals and principles as well as discipline. It is not important for anyone to join but a great tool to guide a young one in the direction of a well respected life style. I think it is a great program for both males and females!

it fairly is purely a stereotype, and as all stereotypes they are regularly incorrect. There are good lady Marines and not so good ones. There are beautiful ones and not so beautiful ones. There are some girly woman varieties and a few tom boys. you would be high-quality. tell all of them to close up, they are probable in basic terms jealous which you are going to surely do something with your existence whilst they take a seat abode and mooch off mommy and daddy. maximum people who have a low opinion of ladies folk are the boots that don't comprehend to any extent further useful. And "grunts" do not do all the try against. i comprehend "pogs" that have seen and performed extra desirable than maximum "grunts". returned it fairly is in basic terms the boot mentality. not their fault they only don't comprehend to any extent further useful. And in the event that they convey it later into their profession then likely they seem to be a vulnerable Marine besides. all the "grunts" I loaf around with have the utmost appreciate for us "pogs" and lady Marines. yet they have been around long adequate to surely comprehend their lives rely on the "pogs". I surely have been in adequate "grunt" battalions to truly see how there fairly is not any distinction in a "grunt" and say a Marine in communique. There are good ones and there are undesirable ones in each and every unit. There are solid ones and vulnerable ones in basic terms the comparable, MOS has not something to do with it. The Marines are the only branch the place any MOS can attempt for our specific ops. interior the army you're able to be infantry first. Why? because of the fact a Marine is a Marine, MOS be d*mned. I surely have fought next to lots of the wonderful and bravest adult men interior the international. I surely have labored with women folk who've seen extra try against than some adult men. with the purpose to all of you who think of ladies folk won't be able to shelter it advance up and look interior the reflect and choose yourselves, in view which you're a vulnerable individual.

I had never heard of this either, so googled it. It appears to be an anti-drug/character building project by the DoD... not a bad thing over all. Tho I would question if this is so, and not a recruiting tool, why there are also not programs for all 5 services instead of just one...

So they can teach future marines how to rape underage girls which is a fine marine corps tradition. Just look the marines stationed in okinawa. Rape is an age old tradition in the marine corps.
